Oven Wild Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups wild rice
  • 6 cups water

Directions

  • 1 You want to fix this the night before you need it.
  • 2 Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • 3 Using a heavy kettle (with a lid), bring the water to a boil.
  • 4 When the water comes to a rolling boil, turn the heat off and add the rice.
  • 5 Stir so the wild rice is evenly distributed.
  • 6 Put the lid on the kettle and put into the oven.
  • 7 TURN OFF OVEN.
  • 8 Do not open the oven until morning.
  • 9 If there is any liquid left in pan, drain off.
  • 10 Then add to your salads, soups or casseroles.
