Carbonara Pizza Appetizer

Ingredients
- 1 prepared pizza crust (uncooked)
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 6 ounces shredded monterey jack cheese
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced
Directions
- 1 Preheat oven to 425.
- 2 Grease a 12 inch pizza pan.
- 3 Press pizza dough into pan.
- 4 Prick dough with a fork.
- 5 Bake at 425 for 7 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- 6 Saute onion and garlic in butter in a saucepan until tender.
- 7 Stir in flour and pepper.
- 8 Gradually add milk.
- 9 Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
- 10 Reduce heat; stir in parmesan cheese.
- 11 Spread mixture over hot crust.
- 12 Sprinkle with bacon, monterrey jack cheese and green onion.
- 13 Bake at 425 for 8 to 12 minutes.
- 14 Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
- 15 Serve warm.
