Jamaican Fried Dumplings

Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 -1 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • oil (for frying)

Directions

  • 1 Mix dry ingredients together.
  • 2 Add water a little at a time and knead dough.
  • 3 Dough should be soft but not sticky.
  • 4 Pinch off pieces (golf ball size), roll into a ball and flatten slightly.
  • 5 Heat oil in pan.
  • 6 Put each dumpling in pan and fry on each side.
  • 7 Remove from pan when each side is golden brown.
