Low Fat Whole Wheat Banana Nut Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts (or any other nut)
- 1 large ripe mashed banana
Directions
- 1 Beat Sugar and applesauce.
- 2 Add in egg and vanilla.
- 3 Slowly add mashed bananas with the dry ingredients, beating each addition well.
- 4 Stir in chocolate chips and nuts and drop dough onto a greased cookie sheet in rounded tablespoons.
- 5 Bake at 375 degrees for 14-15 minutes.
